Taos Schools face budget cuts after enrollment drop
Taos Municipal Schools reduce staffing and curricula for the 2006-2007 year as enrollment declines cut state and federal funds. The $822,000 shortfall comes mainly from not refilling positions at Taos High, Taos Middle, and Chrysalis. Some programs like culinary arts expand, while welding and agriculture are trimmed with UNMT assistance sought for digital films.
