Teen death ruled self-inflicted gun wound in Chamisas
Ernestine R. Dominguez, 18, of Chamisas died from an apparent self-inflicted .22 shotgun wound Saturday night in her home. State police officer Larry Casias said she had been low in spirits. She was pronounced dead at the scene. she is survived by Candido and Ada Dominguez.

A 1980 Chevrolet driven by Joe Fresquez, 32, from Ranchos de Taos collided with a northbound 1971 Datsun pickup driven by Elsie Romero, 59, of Santa Fe near the San Francisco de Asis church. Drunk Driver Sentenced in DWI Case
Lawrence Martinez the 23 year old pleaded guilty to driving drunk on October 5. District Judge Joseph E Caldwell sentenced him to two years in prison with all but 48 hours suspended and placed on two years probation.
