Steve Smaby built Collins Lake Ranch near Cleveland New Mexico to provide supportive living for adults with disabilities. After adopting Alex Smaby in 1997 Smaby retired from Enron to care full time and now aims to offer a place where his high function son can live with supervision, not simply be watched.

KCEC hits quorum at first meeting since 2008 in Taos
Kit Carson Electric Cooperative drew a first quorum in seven years at its June 13 annual meeting at Taos High School gym.
