The Trust for Public Land has reached a preliminary agreement with San Felipe Pueblo for the pueblo to acquire part of the Taos Valley Overlook south of Taos and transfer it to the Bureau of Land Management. The deal exchanges 10,000 acres of BLM lands of cultural significance to the tribe for the Overlook segment, with completion targeted by Oct. 15, and supports protection of the Rio Grande Wild and Scenic corridor.
