Taos dissects impact of Mumford and Sons concert
Taos Town Manager Oscar Rodriguez reviewed the June 6 Mumford and Sons show at Kit Carson Park with 8000 attendees. The town spent about $20,000 on the event and collected $2,799 from business registrations and park rentals while aiming to recoup costs via lodgers tax and gross receipts. The effort boosted Taos’ profile and branding, with Taos.org surpassing visit counts in the first nine days of June.
