Museum of New Mexico faces budget gap and cuts

Museum director James Taylor Forrest warns that state funding stalemate forces Monday closings at the Palace of the Governors and curtailment of Fine Arts Folk Art and library services. He notes 380,000 visitors last year and a $350,000 state cost versus over a million budget last year, urging gifts and bequests through the Museum of New Mexico Foundation to bridge the gap.
