Six incidents continued from page one report a $3 theft from a shop on Sunday while a wristwatch and a $100 radio were stolen from Walsh's home the day before. Officer Duran investigated and Police Chief Arthur Leach said no connection between the burglaries existed noting different objectives with some break ins for money others for clothing.

Pueblo man Juan Cordova suspected death ruled accident
Investigation into the death of 46 year old Juan Domingo Cordova of Taos Pueblo continues. He died from head injuries last Saturday and was found by Augustine Trujillo and Ventura Mira near the pueblo. Officer Julian Romero says initial belief was murder but lack of struggle suggests accidental fall. Cordova, a former U S Forest Service patrolsman, is survived by his wife and four children.

Taos counselor among educators enrolled in NM vocation institute
Wille Ann Weaver, a Taos high school counselor, joins 30 educators and five social workers in a University of New Mexico based Vocational Guidance institute started July 22. The program, funded by Plan for Progress and sponsored by Albuquerque Human Resources Council, aims to curb unemployment and dropouts by training participants in classes, field trips, and seminars to model a school based vocational guidance program.
