Taos teen faces charges over seven homemade bombs
Oscar O J Howe, 17, is accused by Taos police of manufacturing and possessing explosive devices. A backpack believed to contain fireworks, left by his mother at a state police station, held multiple bombs which were defused. Howe appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to a fourth degree felony if adult, with potential probation or up to two years at the New Mexico School for Boys. Police later seized bomb components and "terrorist literature" at his home.
