Fran Miller noted Don Juan de Ofide’s agent earned second place in another division. Brandenburg Insurance hosted the judging stand as riders and carriages paraded past Sunday.

Weekend violence disrupts fiesta with drive by shootings
Firearm incidents left the town police busy on July weekend with a car chase and gun battle Friday night. Three juveniles and an adult were arrested as suspects, while Dickie Ortega, 22, of Dixon, faced 10 felony counts and a misdemeanor after arraignment. A truck carrying Alex Trujillo of Taos was shot at near the police station. No injuries reported.
