Taos Voters Reject Mitchell Property Open Space Purchase
In a Tuesday election Taos voters rejected a 1.35 million, five year property tax to buy the 27 acre Mitchell property at Paseo del Pueblo Norte and Camino de la Placita for open space and recreational use. Only about 19 percent of voters turned out, with 468 against and 74 for, reflecting broad opposition to the tax and land purchase despite mayoral hopes for future open space funding.

Million dollar farm foreclosed in Taos County sale
Colusa Inc a partner in the Las Sierras project halted in 1993 faces foreclosure.
