Melissa Zink Dies At 77 Artist Of Taos
Renowned Taos artist Melissa Zink died Friday July 17 at age 77. Born in Kansas City she studied at Emma Willard Swarthmore the University of Chicago and the Kansas City Art Institute. Her work spanning painting sculpture and mixed media has been exhibited nationwide and is held in major collections. An exhibition titled Melissa Zink Her Singular World opens Sept 18 at Fechin Studio as a memory tribute. She leaves husband Nelson Zink daughter Mallory Downs and grandson Christopher Downs. Parks Gallery in Taos has long represented her work.
