Snowmobile trio survives two nights in New Mexico blizzard
Xavier Gonzales 21 and cousin Gerald Martinez 31 with friend Matthew Pacheco 31 were pinned near Hopewell Lake after a sudden snowstorm. More than 60 searchers failed to locate them until a New Mexico National Guard helicopter spotted smoke from their fire Friday. The men kept calm, built a lean-to, and took turns tending the fire as they waited for rescue.
