State OKs Questa Independent District Formation
The New Mexico State Board of Education certified the independent Questa District on Monday in Santa Fe. The Taos county system will lose Questa with the new district effective July 1, following a reception by about 150 spectators, mostly from Questa. The move marks a second north central district to go independent in a year, after Jemez Mountain District 43 approved last July.
