Zoners delay El Prado action in Taos zoning talks
Taos Planning and Zoning Commission refused the first request of the year. The Extraterritorial Zoning Commission postponed action on El Prado and Canon until it resolves issues with the County Commission and Taos town officials. The joint powers authority meets Monday Jan 25 to discuss zoning with all county commissioners and Taos officials. The JPA, created in 1878, oversees extraterritorial zoning and will decide on future district creation after a cost sharing plan is settled. The town P and Z previously approved a data processing consultant for a Calle de Oro residence, rejecting it as a commercial venture in a residential zone.
