New Mexico Gas Plan Seeks Taos Gorge Pipeline Reroute
New Mexico Gas Company favors Alternative D to reroute and upgrade the Taos County 6 mile natural gas line. The plan would replace 8 inch pipe with 12 inch line, avoid Rio Grande river crossings, reduce future outages, and restore a culturally significant hillside around Pilar while costing about 12.7 million dollars and taking four months to complete between August and November 2017.
