Drug money laundered in Taos real estate deal
Taos County senior planner Dave DiCicco and his wife Ann Harvik bought a Las Colonias home from Julie Ann Roberts via Algamar Asia Limited, a shell for a major drug smuggler. Federal agents seized the funds at closing on September 25, 1995. Roberts, 38, is a fugitive tied to a 1993 marijuana trafficking case, and the 23 ton shipment from Thailand. six tons were dumped at sea.
