A Ranchos man, Albert Maestas, 78, is in stable condition at Holy Cross Hospital after a one vehicle accident on Pilar Hill on SR a8 Saturday January 2. Passenger Isabel Arellano 41 of Pixon sustained minor abrasions and Dolores Moya 41 from Walmaia faced citations for leaving the scene and other offenses. Stella Vargas 54 of Arroyo Seca reported injuries from a separate icy road crash near SR 230 and 190 at 8:30 p.m. December 20.

Storm halts plane search in Taos family tragedy
