Landmark hotel to timeshares in local transition

Taos area readers are told a landmark hotel is converting to timeshares in a local transition feature. Fierce storm blankets Northern New Mexico snowbound rail

New Year's brawl erupts at Shadows Lounge in Taos

Taos police say a late night New Year’s Eve party at Shadows Lounge and Grill turned chaotic with up to 40 people fighting in the parking lot after last call. Three arrests were made and more charges possible as officers, state police, and firefighters responded and split the crowd. Jeana Miera of Taos suffered a serious skull fracture and remained in critical care after the incident.

Taos County subdivision boom eyed for 2007

Taos County planners anticipate a busy 2007 with as many as 40 residential subdivisions proposed while only four were approved in 2006. Tortuga Mesa and Chamisa Vista led last year’s approvals, both 18‑lot projects in Las Colonias, with many condo and two‑to‑three dozen lot proposals planned across the county, including Rabbit Valley Road and Comanche Road developments.
