Taos County weighs land options for new equipment yard
Taos County Commission to review two of three parcels for a county equipment yard at its Monday meeting. One acre behind the county repair shop near the courthouse, now priced higher than two years ago, was previously under a 10 year option from owner Melvin Weimer. Also under review are three acres on Drive-in Road near the rodeo grounds and near the State Highway yard off South Santa Fe Road. The agenda also covers electing a chairman, bonding of new officials, open meetings rules, and possibly transferring Taos Housing Authority bookkeeping to the commission.
