California man accused in Taos crash may have been shot at
In Taos Magistrate Court on Thursday Feb 1 prosecutors detailed that Juan Espinoza 21 faces charges for killing two people and injuring a third in a Sept 30 crash near Taos County After his October arraignment he appeared in a wheelchair and appeared to have healed from Sept injuries Witnesses Deputy Elias Montoya Sgt Jake Cordova and Sgt Gilbert Atencio described arriving at the scene where Espinoza’s Tahoe and Metzger’s Nissan were overturned trapping all three occupants Hannah Metzger and Cedrick Kober died and Cody Woolard suffered a traumatic brain injury The hospital in St Louis reported the surviving victim remains stable but unresponsive at press time.
