Taos Grand Jury Indicts Romeros in Embezzlement Case
In Taos district court on Friday December 20, Leroy Romero age 66 of Ranchos de Taos faces three counts of embezzling taos Optimist Club funds from 2000 to 2002, with counts two to four detailing amounts over 2,500 and up to 20,000 dollars, second and third degree felonies. The report lists other local indictments and numerous traffic and public notices, including Michael Cardenas 40 of Questa charged with cocaine possession and Regina Clavery 20 of Arroyo Hondo indicted for great bodily injury by vehicle and aggravated DWI, plus a long list of dispositions and case references.
