Taos sewer inflow study begins amid smoke tests
Taos launches a townwide sewer inflow and infiltration study using smoke to locate leaks. Crews from Gutierrez Smouse and Wilmut began Aug 22 surveying manhole distances and installing groundwater gauges. Full assessment expected by late September with TV inspections planned to map leaks and guide repairs and pipeline upgrades.

Taos County names Allen Vigil as new county planner
Allen Vigil, 27, has joined Taos County as planner under the Manpower CETA program, transferring Aug. 16 and assuming duties Aug. 19.
