Fiesta drunk driver indicted in pedestrian injury case
Emil Montez of Gardner Colorado has been indicted in Taos County District Court on charges including great bodily harm by vehicle while intoxicated aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer leaving the scene and reckless driving. The 58 year old was arrested July 23 after striking a parade spectator in the John Dunn Parking Lot near Taos Plaza during the Fiesta parade dispersal. Wennin a Washington DC resident suffered a broken shoulder and head lacerations. Montez has prior drunken driving arrests in Colorado and is on parole.
