Accused stalker shot dead in Taos after arrest
Taos County magistrate court had charged Chris Romero 30 with stalking Teena Trujillo 20 when he was shot and killed later that day at her Upper Ranchitos home. An investigator ruled Romero died from gunshot wounds at the residence as authorities arrived. Trujillo had reported a pattern of conduct and surveillance between July 24 and August 4. Arraignment for the stalking case had been set for August 26.
