Taos girls beat El Prado 16-10 in the final five game series and will receive a series trophy while El Prado earns a sportsmanship trophy. Instructors Cecelia Trujillo and Magdalena Santistevan thank all participants for a successful program.

Kids Fun Program Ends With Tourney In Taos

The Taos area Recreation Pro Playhouse wraps up a summer youth program with a Junior League baseball tournament. About 450 youngsters registered as the Mudhens beat the Yankees 4 1 in the final game, leaving the Mudhens second in the league with a 7 2 record. Fiesta Week At Des Montes With Handy Family Guests

Mrs. Charles E Handy and daughters Mary and Becky of Dallas remain through August at Des Montes. Visiting the Charles Turners for Fiesta were Mr and Mrs Dudley H Pierce of San Francisco, son in law and daughter of Mr Turner, and Mrs Turner's nephews Lt David Buck and Bruce Buck of Denver. Lt Buck stays with his parents in Denver before Okinawa navy assignment after earning a master's in Oriental languages at Harvard. Bruce Buck is pursuing a masters in the art department at Colorado College.
