Escaped inmate recaptured after string of escapes in Taos
Taos County deputies recaptured Jason Romero about an hour after his second escape from custody near Taos on Wednesday night. He had previously escaped July 27 and again July 28 while being transported for arraignments and investigations tied to robbery and aggravated battery charges. He and his sister Erica Romero were later indicted by a grand jury.
