Taos News raises price to one dollar

The Taos News increases its price from 75 cents to $1 in today’s edition dated Aug 6. The note explains the rise is due to tough economic times and higher operating costs, including 20 prior print-price increases and doubling ink costs. The paper notes it has absorbed costs for 13 years.
