Bear Shot at Lama Foundation Near Taos

A three year old female bear rummaged at the Lama Foundation north of Taos for weeks, breaking into tents and stealing food before an officer with New Mexico Fish and Game shot and killed it on July 9. Local resident Tiffany Jama quoted.

Taos plans Paseo del Pueblo Sur widening project

Taos officials unveil a $1.8 million design budget for 2000-2001 to widen Paseo del Pueblo Sur from two to four lanes between La Posta Road and Quesnel. The plan includes new streetlights and improved pedestrian access to Farr's, addressing chronic traffic snarls along the corridor.

Taos seeks new minor curfew to sidestep arrests

Four months after suspending a nighttime curfew for minors, Taos prepares a revamped ordinance focusing on parental supervision.
