House Fire Damages Taos Home on Raton Road
A blaze April 18 caused by motorcycle repair work damaged a rental house near the Byzantine Attie Gaspard House museum on Raton Road. Damage is estimated at 10000 dollars to the house and 10000 dollars to the Margaret Lane family belongings. Taos volunteer firemen extinguished the fire in about ninety minutes. Gasoline fumes from the cycle reportedly spread to a nearby space heater.
