Memorial for Taos boy Liko Heen draws community grief
In Taos, 10 year old Liko Heen's death sparks a valley wide mourning. At Enos Garcia Middle School more than 500 children release balloons with notes for the boy. A memorial at Kit Carson Park followed, with friends and teachers recalling Heen as creative and kind. He was born in Kona Hawaii and lived with Cyndee Stone and George Heen. His cremation will be followed by a traditional Hawaiian scattering of ashes off Kona.
