Taos veterans honor picnic aids cemetery plans
Taos County marked a Saturday veterans picnic at the Army National Guard Armory with a luncheon and speeches. Officials announced 25 acres donated and $140,000 allocated for a Taos County veterans cemetery, to include a plot, headstone, and flag at no cost to families, with summer work planned to fence and prepare the site.
