Taos man escapes holding cell after courthouse break
Alex Trujillo 21 escaped a Taos County holding cell after prying a deadbolt with a cord from a TV. He fled the Taos County Magistrate building Monday noon, prompting a warrant and manhunt as deputies recovered a suspect note and pursued further charges. The incident coincides with another case involving his older brother Joe Trujillo on separate rape charges. Sheriff Charlie Martinez said Trujillo turned himself in earlier and fled after the hold was breached.
