Aerial Budworm Attack Planned Over U.S. Forests
The U S Forest Service will conduct a $500000 DDT spray program in June across Santa Fe and Carson National Forests from Red River to Pecos to curb spruce budworm outbreaks. The operation aims to protect true firs and spruce by aerially applying oil based DDT at reduced ground concentrations while coordinating with wildlife agencies to minimize harm. A 2000 to 4000 square foot building is sought. membership could cost 25 cents yearly and funding would come from the community to reduce juvenile delinquency through sports crafts books music and supervised dances.

TV Plans Angola Film on KOB TV Sunday
A half hour public affairs program on KOB TV at 1 30 p m features two Angola missionaries expelled after six weeks imprisonment last summer. Sponsored by the Methodist Board of Missions, they tour nationally and have spoken at the University of New Mexico Highlands University and many meetings in Albuquerque Las Vegas and Los Alamos including Taos. The director calls it the most outstanding public affairs program filmed by KOB TV.
