Taos County will gain 3.249 million within days under a bond deal approved at a special meeting. Taos mannequin traffic sting fails as woman assaults drowsy officer
Taos police chief Neil Curran told the town council a woman assaulted a parked patrol car officer while a mannequin posed as the officer. The unarmed incident involved a naked woman atop the mannequin and sparked laughter, but Curran stressed the stunt undermines traffic safety. Two teens sentenced for paint vandalism spree
Martin Lucero and Nathan Gohn both age 17 were found guilty of eight counts each of unauthorized graffiti in Children’s Court for a two month vandalism spree in September and October 1993. Lucero was placed on six months probation and must follow laws, while Cohn was released into the custody of an aunt with a 10 pm curfew and ban on gang activity and contact with Lucero.
