Taos Pueblo man Charles Romero, 42, who faced robbery, burglary and property damage charges, escaped from Los Lunas Minimum Custody Unit Friday. Authorities warn he may return to Taos as multiple agencies search. his brother Benito was also arrested in related raids. James Romero remains jailed for an October 1994 Taos kidnapping and robbery.
