Alteration of Regulations at The Common Meeting
The Common managers met Thursday with Sor rensen chairman and Messrs Leod Taylor and Chalmers. A letter from the Secretary for Lands addressed the permanent water dam reservation. Taylor moved to make stock fees payable yearly rather than half yearly, risking higher charges for spring users and potential hardship for some commoners, but the motion passed. Taylor also moved to switch from tar branding to chain and badge, costing one shilling per holder but not recurring. The change to 1 January, auditors Dowding and Salmon appointed, meeting adjourned.
