Library board meeting notes May discussion and grants
The May 10 meeting chaired by Hillard and with Lent Hemmerde Allen and Revs Pearce and Chamberlin discussed a government grant of 7 14s 6d for the library received with regret at the reduction. The librarian reported 295 volumes issued and 240 attendances over two months, subscriptions of 2 15s collected, two new members and two removals. Treasurer showed credit £10 5s after night-pay deductions. Accounts totaling 3 38 6d were approved. No report from the book committee.
