Reverend C D Barclift Guest Preacher at Saint Paul

Rev. C D Barclift superintendent of the Wilmington District of Methodist churches preached at Saint Paul Methodist Church during the regular worship hour. Zion Methodist members attended in advance. After worship he led the regular quarterly conference for the two churches, with Rev G W Crutchfield as pastor. The report of the two churches was good, the pastor stated.

Larry Ashby former executive secretary of the Tabor City merchants association and Tribune editor has been called to active duty in the Navy. He recently was in San Francisco and will fly tomorrow to the Far East to be attached to the Far Eastern Command as a lieutenant. He said he would send his address as soon as known.

She succeeds Mrs W H Stewart Jr of Maxton as vice-president, with Mrs Homer Avant of Whiteville as vice-president and Mrs Smith of Wagram as secretary and treasurer. Officers begin duties in 1951.

Yam Festival Committee Meets At Hut On Thursday
