The Tabor City Tobacco Market surpassed 10 million pounds in sales as of yesterday with 10,009,081 pounds traded. Through the third day the market showed substantial volume with earnings of about 5.59 million dollars and an average near 56.24 per hundred.

Mrs Lowtise Rob 34, died in Metoon's Infirmary in Florence at 6:20 p.m. Saturday after a short illness. Services were held 4:40 p.m. Monday at Green Sea Cemetery with Rev. Morgan Gilreath, Rev Robbie Crooks officiating. She was a native of Horry County, daughter of Beulah Floyd Roberts and the late FIL Roberts, attended Limestone College, Gutfton, and was a member of Green Sea Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Elwood Dorman, three sons Lowell Larry and Phillip, two daughters Geraldine and Jean, and her mother.
