Luther I Graham Dies At Home In Loris
Luther I. Graham 54 retired farmer of Loris Route 1 died unexpectedly at his home Friday at 6 am. He was the son of Fred Graham and Sallie Fipps Graham of Horry County. The Rev Clyde Prince and other ministers conducted the service. Burial was in Princeville Cemetery west of Loris. He is survived by four brothers and several nieces and nephews.

Tabor Citians Kept At Home During Holidays
Heavy rains and winds kept Tabor City residents home during Labor Day weekend amid a hurricane on the South Carolina coast. Nationwide reports say about 500 fatalities occurred from Friday to Tuesday, but local area saw no serious accidents. Church services were disrupted as downpours and high water flooded streets. Sgt. F. L. Fipps Jr. of Fort Belvoir, Virginia, visited his parents for the holiday.
