Postal hours cut here
Due to sharp cuts in postal service last week the Ta bor City Post Office will close Wednesday afternoons at noon from May 3. This Saturday afternoon hours are reduced but Saturday will be open all day after this week. An hour daily window cut remains, but staff arranged schedules to keep usual service except Wednesdays.

At the Columbus County Beta Club rally held April 19 at Tabor City High School Betty Faye Coleman was elected president for the 1949 50 term. Other officers include To Janeline Smith secretary Vivian Stanley and Yvonne Bul Hock. Prizes honored top clubs Williams Township Acme Delco and Tabor City. The event closed with plans to meet again in September.
