Evans Monroe a 20 year old Black youth was killed in a rifle accident at the Waddell home in Boston when he tussled over a loaded single shot rifle as Katie Waddell 29 prepared to remove the cartridge authorities said she briefly jailed then released pending investigation. Mrs. J. R. Groover Dies in Georgia Hospital
Mrs. J. S. Groover, 79, mother of Mrs. J. P. Brown of Savannah, died at St. Joseph hospital in Seqianah after pneumonia following years of declining health. Funeral services were held at Sipple Brothers chapel in Savannah with Rev. J. Walder Hendrix officiating. Interment in Bona Venture cemetery. She leaves nine daughters, many grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Juniors Hold Weiner Roast at Mount Tabor Baptist

Funeral Rites Held for Accident Victim John Cribb Jr
Funeral services were held at Clarendon Baptist Church for John Willard Cribb Jr 23 an accident victim with interment at Forest Lawn. Cribb a Clarendon native Navy veteran worked at Federal Shoe Co Lewiston Me was killed April 8 near Dover Del en route to Fort Bragg and Wilmington.
