Tag Day will be held in Tabor City on Saturday April 15 to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Mrs Mae 8 Young county campaign chairman announced the event with Mrs Doc Bruton and Mrs Don Evigan as co chairmen. Nellie Spivey will run headquarters at the sister store on Rail Head and Fifth Streets. The city aims to raise a 500 quota for research, services and education in the cancer field.

A preschool clinic will be held at Tabor City School on Monday April 17 for children entering school in fall 1950.
