Mail Boxes Torn Down On Routes Near Pireway
A dozen mail boxes were uprooted or torn from posts in the Pireway area Friday night and found Saturday on a new bridge. Eight boxes came from Route 1 Nakina and the rest from Route 3 Tabor City. Deputy Sheriff T C Butler said vandals also blocked the highway to the bridge with a bridge out sign. Investigating officers will forward information to a post office inspector for further probe.
