Last week during a family absence thieves entered the Hitchcock residence on Shore Avenue by tearing a screen and breaking the back window. About $0 worth of jewelry was stolen as drawers were ransacked and clothing scattered. Police Chief Hayward was notified when the home was found disturbed. The report also notes a separate incident where Daniel Boone allegedly stole and forged a $15.40 check from A. B. Rowland and cashed it at a local store.
