Ridley Park's Barnstormers present a public show on March 9 featuring three one act plays solos and pianologues to raise funds for the Woman's Club debt extinction fund. Tickets are limited to club house capacity and sell out quickly.
Miss Margaret Hill of Swarthmore School of Music resigns as choirmaster of Swarthmore Presbyterian Church to devote full time to piano. A reception honored her and presented a gift umbrella as her services are celebrated. Mr. N E F Watson becomes organist and will lead Easter rehearsals.
The Citizenship Class meeting featured Miss Evans on cooperation of citizens with government focusing on letter agencies and groups like the Chamber of Commerce and housing associations. She noted a recent por bill and discussed civic influence mechanisms and selective organizations shaping tenant interests.

Last Saturday the 2st Miss Margaret Marr gave a tea for Miss Martha Travilla Speakman who has just returned from France. Both women spent years abroad and attended Swarthmore College after local public high school. Speakman went to Etretat in 1918 to supervise an orphanage L Esperance financed by Mrs. L B Preston.
The Rev Richard W Hogue of Baltimore spoke at the Friends Meeting House on Sunday about prison welfare work and said we produce more criminals than we reform. He argued imprisonment erodes citizenship and that much penal work is futile.

Mr. Lewis Heck United States high commissioner to Constantinople spoke at the Woman's Club House on conditions in the Near East. He described the situation as a political state of affairs not a religious or racial conflict and urged a U S role to restore order with the suggestion that a mandatory be established.
Alfred C. Bair died at his home after a six week illness on February 19. Funeral services were held on Monday and he was interred in New Castle Delaware. He is survived by his wife and six children.
Che Fortnightly will meet on March 1 at 3 o clock at the home of Mrs William Plumer Potter on Elm Avenue. Mrs Potter will review Edith Whartons latest work French Ways and Their Meaning.
