Scouts Anniversary Observed by Swarthmore Troop
The eighth anniversary of the Boy Scouts movement was celebrated last week with flag salutes at 8 15 p m on Friday and a good turn day on Saturday. Sunday services in full troop uniform were held at the Presbyterian church led by Rev. Dr. L W Eckard. Scout Master Hirst received compliments as the boys looked well. The Black Bears held a patrol meeting at 237 Kenyon Avenue and the troop met at headquarters last Tuesday appreciating council’s gift of space for their headquarters.

Mrs. Mary A Young mother of Mrs. Charles Temple of Park Avenue died at Media Hospital after several months illness. She came to Swarthmore before Thanksgiving for care then went to Dr Schoff's Hospital where she died. Her home was Easton, Pa. Interment was at Quakertown on Monday.
