Memorial for Swarthmore resident Alice Hadley
Mrs. Alice Paxson Hadley died February 3 after a pneumonia illness. A longtime Swarthmore resident, she supported higher education at Swarthmore College and the Friends Reconstruction Work. Funeral services were held Thursday at 11:30 in the Meeting House. interment was private.

Last Friday evening over eighty men and boys gathered in the church for a joyful event. The catering committee prepared the table decorations as guests arrived. Inside the banquet room the attendees toured the tables in search of their places.
