The RSL Ladies Auxiliary led by President Mrs Barnes thanks members for cooperation in a successful event. Funds support hospital visits to servicemen and women, especially at Bundoora Hospital, with quarterly visits, plus appreciation to firms for stall gifts.
Sunsh ine Troop scouts enjoyed a weekend at Gilwell Park Camp and sold a large silver gum tree to support the open air chapel. The district youth march to the Showgrounds is planned for Saturday 27th at 3 pm with over 10 000 youths expected. Footscray Sunshine district Athletics Sports are set for October 4 at the Sunshine Technical School Oval with a large turnout anticipated.
East Sunshine forms a Kindergarten Committee to fund equipment for a new kindergarten opening in the area. An Australian Tea on September 11 raised over 6 and a Social Evening is planned for October 4 at Dobson Crescent Hall. Contact 27 Lowe Crescent for those wishing to assist.
