Rain did not dampen the Sunshine church unveiling of a memorial stained window funded by H V McKay family. Rev Donald Cammi led worship while Rev Flynn described McKay’s public service and pioneering work. Cecil McKay unveiled the curtain, with thanks to absent mourners and local officials attending.
At a Victorian Amateur Swimming Association meeting in McEwen House Sunshine Water Polo, D grade champions, were presented with a cup donated anonymously. President H M Bennett presided. team members included Mesara Steedman captain C Steedman and D Stewart among others, each receiving a miniature cap. George Cassidy praised the Sunshine side for their third year premiership and captain Steedman’s leadership.
